A century of excellence...
In 1891, William Fletcher Saunders moved to Syracuse from Homer, NY and established W.F. Saunders and Sons. Initially a livery business, the company transported people and products throughout Central New York. One product Saunders delivered was stone quarried in the nearby valley. Today that stone can be seen in the Onondaga County Court House, the Hotel Syracuse, and several area churches. As the automobile replaced the horse and wagon, W.F. Saunders began using the new "dump truck" to carry stone from the company's own quarries and gravel beds.
Over the years, W.F. Saunders & Sons has demonstrated the flexibility and innovation that have made us one of the leading suppliers of mineral-rich aggregates to commercial, residential, and municipal customers. Saunders Concrete Co., Inc. uses these same fine aggregates in ready-mix concrete--batched from our modern computerized plants and delivered throughout the area by the largest fleet of ready-mix trucks in Central New York.
No matter what you're building--from sidewalks and private homes, to highways, bridges, offices, and malls--getting the right product at the right time is vital to the success of your project. That's why builders and contractors throughout the area trust the Saunders Companies to be there when the hard work begins. |
